Do you think it's because the car originally had xenons from the factory and now I have ordinary headlights, or have I bought the wrong LCM module or is there a way to reporgram the new LCM I have so that the car recognizes it? I can however open the LCM menu and I was able to code the double blink of the hazard lights and it works. The PA Soft/Bmw scanner 1.4.0 I bought doesn't seem to find the LCM I currently have. Until I decided to recode the LCM to enable US style DRL. To my surprise it did work and the brake lights are fine now, new headlights working fine, no errors on the dash. I got different LCM(light module) from a nearby junkyard cause a friend of mine told me the problem for the brake lights was from the LCM. I pretty much immediately bought two brand new ordinary headlights (not a fan of the xenon anyway) and checked the brake switch but it was fine. ![]() I also noticed that the brake lights seemed to always be on (he told me it was a faulty brake switch). ![]() The previous owner of my 330ci (I don't know why since the car originally had oem xenons from the factory) put fake xenon headlights (probably Chinese fakes) on the car which were terrible and I noticed one of them had caught on fire some time ago.
